Fabric Outlet is owned by Ron Rodelander and his daughter Gina Cooney. Ron has been in the fabric business since the early seventies, working for House of Fabrics, and later, New York Fabrics.
At New York Fabrics, he was able to work his way up from being store manager to becoming the vice president of the company. In 1991, New York Fabrics was bought by a large corporation. It was at this time that Ron began considering opening his own fabric store, so, with enthusiasm, a strong committment to customer service, plenty of long-time fabric connections, and much hard work, his first store was opened in Modesto, California, in March of 1992. In 1994, his daughter Gina, who has been in the fabric business since her teen years, became his business partner.
In January of 1995, Ron and Gina opened the Fabric Outlet on Mission Street in San Francisco, California. Since then, much hard work has gone into making the Fabric Outlet into one of San Francisco's best known and most loved fabric stores. We thank our many loyal customers for their long-time support.
